Alqam has worked on landscapes that exemplify the sudden revolution that took place when the “people” themselves went out into the street to demand their rights. The cross borders movement was initially instigated by young man, in Tunisia, Mohammed bouzazi. Bouzazi set himself on fire in revolt of the conditions in which he could not endure at any price. Citizens went into the street and forced their leaders and government members to resign. These paintings are related to the country of Syria. It is a bombed-out Syria.
